Brent Manalo, Mika Salamanca relive simple joys of food

For Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Big Winner Mika Salamanca, local fast-food chain Jollibee has always been a destination worth crossing state lines for. Growing up in the United States, she recalled how her family would drive all the way to Atlanta just to eat at the nearest branch.

“I remember when we were in the U.S., the nearest Jollibee branch was far from us. There were times we would even go to Atlanta just to eat at Jollibee. I would take my family and travel there just for Jollibee, just for the Yumburger,” Mika shared.

Meanwhile, her duo, Brent Manalo, has his own fond memories. Every Christmas, he would use his aguinaldo to treat family and friends to Jollibee.

“I would use my aguinaldo to treat my family and friends, and I would always take them to Jollibee. So now, with blessings pouring in, I’m happy I will be able to take them back to Jollibee,” Brent told Manila Standard Lifestyle.

Those nostalgic moments came full circle when they were formally introduced as the newest celebrity ambassadors of the all-new Jollibee App during its recent launch event. The event showcased the platform’s fresh, modern design and smoother navigation, along with app-exclusive promos and freebies.

“Jollibee is a brand that’s been close to my heart ever since I was young, so I’m really honored to be here and to celebrate this milestone with Brent,” Mika said.

“The all-new Jollibee App is perfect for enjoying all my Jollibee favorites, whether I’m at home or at work. It’s so convenient and perfect for my cravings,” she continued.

“Mika and I are so excited to be ambassadors of the all-new Jollibee App. We feel blessed to be given this kind of opportunity,” Brent added.

Her list of must-haves is long, including all-time favorites Yumburger, Spicy Chickenjoy, Jolly Spaghetti, Burger Steak, Jolly Hotdog, and Peach Mango Pie.

For Brent, the app’s ease of use makes it ideal for actors who are constantly on the move.

“It’s so portable and quick. Very easy to use,” he said, pointing out that the app is not just about food delivery but also about making the experience more rewarding.

Beyond the product talk, Mika recalled past Jollibee activities that she joined, including outreach programs and donation drives.

“Even before working with Jollibee, in our past outreach operations or help, Jollibee was part of it,” Mika shared.

The all-new Jollibee App is designed to meet the needs of today’s fast-paced lifestyles. Users can enjoy a streamlined ordering process, quicker checkout, and exclusive perks.

From July 28 to Oct. 27, customers can get free delivery for a minimum order of P400. New users can also receive a free Peach Mango Pie with a minimum order of P100 or a free Chickenjoy Super Meal for orders worth at least P600.
