Actress Kyline Alcantara said she chose silence following her breakup with basketball player Kobe Paras out of respect for him, she revealed in her latest appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.”
“I still have respect for him as a person despite everything that happened,” Kyline told Boy Abunda, adding that she prioritized grace over public explanations.
She described the relationship as “a beautiful experience,” adding, “I felt really happy. I felt really loved,” but noted that they simply turned out to be “two different people.”
Kyline said she has since learned valuable lessons, including setting boundaries and maintaining self-respect, and has moved past initial bitterness.
She credited friends like Barbie Forteza for boosting her confidence and helping her regain focus on personal growth.
“Si Barbie talaga, iba po talaga siya. Maiiyak ako, kasi iba po talaga si Barbie. She just gave me my confidence back, she made me realize na, ‘Ikaw muna, mare,'” she said.
