Actor Baron Geisler has addressed reports of his alleged detention in Mandaue City, Cebu, calling out what he claims is misinformation and unverified reporting.
According to reports, Geisler was taken into custody on Feb. 22 in Barangay Canduman after allegedly causing a disturbance outside his brother-in-law’s home.
He was reportedly held at Mandaue City Police Station 6 before being released after paying a P500 fine, which was said to have been settled by his wife.
As news spread, Geisler took to social media to set the record straight, criticizing what he described as exaggerated and misleading coverage.
“Breaking my silence. There’s a lot of misinformation circulating, especially from news outlets that failed to verify the facts before reporting. Irresponsible journalism has blown things out of proportion, creating unnecessary confusion. I want to make it clear—I’m okay, and I’m seeking legal advice to address this properly,” he wrote.
“To those who continue to stand by me, thank you. Your support means everything.”
Geisler, who has spoken about his commitment to faith, sobriety, and family life, did not provide further details but emphasized that he is pursuing legal action regarding the reports.
