Robinsons Hotels and Resorts (RHR), the hospitality business unit of Robinsons Land Corp., is bullish on expanding its upscale Grand Summit hotel brand in Panglao, Bohol.

The 7,737 square meter beachfront development is set to provide a family-friendly resort with architectural and interior designs inspired by the biodiversity of Bohol.

Grand Summit Panglao is positioned to be the contemporary resort hotel of choice for local and international travelers seeking unique local experiences and enjoy the comforts of unpretentious luxury with its all-day dining, specialty restaurant, gym and spa, kid’s play area, and signature sleep experience.

“We are excited to welcome guests to Grand Summit Panglao to support the booming tourism sector’s call for a quality upscale hotel brand,” said Barun Jolly, senior vice president and business unit general Manager of RHR.

Based on the Department of Tourism (DOT) data, Panglao had a 122 percent year-on-year increase in overnight travelers in 2023.

With the expansion of the Bohol-Panglao International Airport and a significant growth in post-pandemic tourist arrivals, Panglao ranked 2nd in the 2024 Philippine Accommodation Pipeline by property advisor firm Leechiu Property Consultants.

The hotel guests can opt to explore the vibrant corals or enjoy a dip in the pool, have a feast in the Filipino and specialty restaurants, relax in the spa with a traditional massage, work out in a well-equipped gym, or celebrate important milestones in the expansive ballroom.

“With the guests at the center of everything we do, we are committed to bringing the warmth of Filipino hospitality to the shores of Panglao. We are also cognizant of the important role Robinsons Hotels and Resorts play in driving employment opportunities and workforce expansion” said Annalyn Yap, vice president of RHR.

“Our curated hotel development which has an ocean wave-inspired facade ensures that sustainability is one of the important pillars in its design and operations,” added Barun.

In 2021, RHR launched the first Grand Summit in General Santos. It is also slated to expand in Pangasinan, Cebu, and Panglao.
