Jehovah’s Witnesses to hold global talk on war, conflict from Sept. 27-28

Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide will host a special talk over the weekend, as the culmination of a monthlong global campaign to present a “Bible-based solution to end all wars.”

With the theme “An End to War – How,” the talk will be simultaneously delivered at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 240 countries and territories, including the Philippines.

It comes amid large-scale conflicts between Russia and Ukraine, Israel and Palestine, as well as Sudan’s civil war, among many others.

“We invite all to attend. People who come will see that living in peace and security is possible when there’s leadership that is fair and full of love. What they will hear will not only be comforting but also life-changing,” Jehovah’s Witnesses spokesperson James Morales said.

More than 9 million volunteers are participating in the group’s September campaign. Jehovah’s Witnesses are likewise distributing a special edition of The Watchtower, No. 1, 2025 edition.

Described as concise but comprehensive, the magazine “answers how God’s Kingdom will put an end to war and violent conflicts as well as their devastating consequences to humankind.” It also covers topics such as why war and violent conflict continue, how these will end, and finding peace in spite of these.

“War has become a regular part of the news, and more conflicts may still happen. Yet, through the pages of this magazine, we find a message of hope for those suffering amid widespread violence. For anyone praying for peace in the midst of turmoil, this offers comfort and reassurance—helping ease their fears and anxieties,” Morales said.

“Jesus Christ gave us a model prayer, and his mention of a ‘Kingdom’ reflects the deep desire many people have for lasting peace and a stable, just government,” he added.

First published in 1879, The Watchtower is available in 461 languages. It is available locally in Bicol, Cebuano, English, Hiligaynon, Ibanag, Iloko, Pangasinan, Tagalog, and Waray-waray for free.
