The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), through the Philippine Embassy in New Delhi, announced an expansion of visa-free entry for Indian nationals to include business travel with tourism.
In a statement, the Embassy announced that the updated visa rules took effect on June 8, 2025, and allow Indian travelers to enter the Philippines without a visa for 14 days, provided the stay is non-extendible and non-convertible.
Indian nationals availing of the visa-free entry must present a passport valid for at least six months beyond their intended stay, a confirmed hotel booking, proof of financial capacity, and a return or onward ticket.
The privilege may be used at any Philippine port of entry, but travelers must have no derogatory record with the Bureau of Immigration.
The Embassy, however, clarified that Indian nationals transiting through the Philippines, staying for an extended period, or entering for purposes other than tourism or business must secure the appropriate visa from a Philippine Embassy or Consulate.
Eligible applicants may also use the Philippine e-visa website to apply; however, e-visas cannot be extended or converted to other visa categories.
To recall, in June 2025, the Philippines began allowing Indian tourists 14-day visa-free entry.
In August, the Indian government reciprocated by offering gratis e-visas to Filipino travelers.
