Bohol Honored at the 1st Philippine Tourism Awards

The Province of Bohol has been recognized with the Philippine Tourism Excellence Award for Tourism Destination Province for 2025–2027 at the inaugural Philippine Tourism Awards.

Bohol was also named a finalist for the Eco-Tourism Destination award, with Loboc and Panglao earning finalist spots in the Best Tourism Destination (Municipality) and Best Dive Destination categories, respectively.

In the same event, Lourdes Sultan received recognition as a Tourism Pillar Awardee for 2025.

Governor Aumentado, through his official Facebook page, expressed gratitude to the Department of Tourism for honoring Bohol and its tourism partners.

“This milestone reaffirms Bohol’s enduring charm — from the Chocolate Hills and pristine beaches to its cultural treasures — and its standing as the country’s first UNESCO Global Geopark,” he said.

“The provincial government remains steadfast in promoting sustainable tourism, protecting its environment, and supporting communities toward a shared and inclusive future,” the governor added.
