Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) set a 6.08-percent annual interest rate for its planned issuance of peso-denominated Series G ASEAN Sustainability Bonds due 2029, the lender said Thursday.
The three-year bond offering has a minimum size of P5 billion and will be issued as the ninth tranche from the bank’s P200-billion bond and commercial paper program. RCBC may increase the size of the offer depending on demand.
The public offer will run from March 12 to March 27 unless shortened or extended by the bank. RCBC said issuance, settlement and listing of the bonds on the Philippine Dealing and Exchange Corp. will be on April 8, subject to market conditions.
Proceeds will finance or refinance projects under the bank’s eligible green and social categories. These projects fall under the RCBC Sustainable Finance Framework.
The Securities and Exchange Commission confirmed the bonds comply with ASEAN Sustainability Bond Standards and qualify as an ASEAN Sustainability Bond in the Philippines.
Investors can participate with a minimum investment of P100,000 and additional placements in increments of P10,000.
Standard Chartered Bank and RCBC Capital Corp. will act as joint lead arrangers and bookrunners for the transaction. The institutions will also serve as selling agents.
RCBC last tapped the domestic debt market in July 2025, raising P12.2 billion from a similar issuance. Since its program launched in 2019, the bank has raised about P99 billion from local capital markets.
The bank reported an 11-percent increase in net income to P10.6 billion in 2025, led by core business growth, higher lending yields and rising fee income.
The move follows other major Philippine lenders tapping the ESG debt market this year. BDO Unibank Inc. raised P100 billion worth of sustainability-linked bonds in January, while Bank of the Philippine Islands raised P50 billion in February.
