Maya corporate affairs head Toff Rada said partnerships across government and private industries are critical to educating the public and responding to evolving threats.

He said the company treats cybersecurity as a core priority by embedding security-by-design into its app experience for payments, savings and credit services.

To complement these technical safeguards, the company launched ScamPatrol to provide users with practical guidance on recognizing common fraud tactics.

Maya said cybersecurity is a shared responsibility requiring sustained collaboration to protect Filipino consumers.

The company said it continues to invest in infrastructure and real-time monitoring to mitigate risk. While Maya did not disclose specific spending for this initiative, the bank has previously allocated over P100 million for security upgrades to ensure its platform remains resistant to unauthorized access.

The initiative is part of a broader strategy to build a trusted financial environment through both advanced risk controls and consumer-led defense.
