The Department of Transportation (DOTr) plans to adopt the Accessible Travel Policy (ATP) Guidelines for all railway operations and maintenance providers nationwide to ensure accessibility and inclusive commuter experience throughout the country. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has ordered the DOTr to promote inclusivity and an enabling environment in rail lines, especially for persons with disabilities (PWDs) senior citizens and pregnant passengers.
