The Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) opened its online case reporting system to the public Dec. 18, allowing citizens to directly report suspected anti-competitive practices through the agency’s website.
The PCC, an independent quasi-judicial body tasked with enforcing the Philippine Competition Act, developed the system with support from the Korea International Cooperation Agency.
Launched internally in April 2024, the platform streamlines the reporting process by enabling users to securely upload documents and file cases online. The system replaces a manual procedure that previously involved multiple steps and staff intervention.
“This system empowers the public to take part in safeguarding competition. By making reporting faster, simpler and more secure, we are strengthening our collective effort to ensure fair markets for all,” PCC Chairperson Michael Aguinaldo said.
The case reporting system is accessible at https://ccms.phcc.gov.ph.
As the country’s primary antitrust authority, the PCC enforces rules against anti-competitive conduct, abuse of dominant position and anti-competitive mergers and acquisitions. The move underscores its mandate to promote fair competition and protect consumer welfare.
