In line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to empower marginalized communities through sustainable employment and livelihood support, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) CALABARZON led the awarding of assistance under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP) in Calamba City, Laguna.
Representatives from national government agencies, local government units, and program beneficiaries gathered for the ceremonial turnover of PHP 51,828,160.00 in livelihood projects and salaries under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) program.
“Let this ceremony serve as a reminder of what we can accomplish when we work in unity—when we transcend organizational boundaries in pursuit of a shared goal. The convergence of programs is not merely a strategy; it is a philosophy anchored on the belief that no one sector, no one agency, and no one community should be left behind,” DOLE CALABARZON Regional Director Atty. Erwin N. Aquino said in his keynote message, highlighting the vital role of inter-agency collaboration in reaching vulnerable communities.
Meanwhile, Ma. Angelique E. Yaun, Officer-in-Charge of the Technical Support Services Division for Employment Promotion and Workers Welfare (TSSD-EPWW), emphasized the importance of creating a lasting impact and ensuring that support extends beyond immediate relief to foster long-term development.
Among the national agencies present were the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Agrarian Reform, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Department of Justice–Parole and Probation Administration, the Philippine Coconut Authority, Department of Science and Technology, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and the Provincial Government of Quezon.
Through this program convergence, DOLE continues to embody the government’s whole-of-nation approach, ensuring that every Filipino is not only recognized but actively empowered to help shape a more inclusive and resilient future.
