Clark Development Corp. (CDC) board director Helen Nicolette Henson, a former beauty queen, was one of the top graduates of the Philippine Air Force’s (PAF) Basic Citizen Military Training (BCMT) SALIMBAY Class 2025 Bravo.
Henson, who is now a PAF Reservist with the rank of sergeant, earned honor graduate status after placing eighth overall with a final average of 90.28 percent.
She and her Flight Echo teammates were also recognized for Best in Land Navigation and Map Reading, and Best in Team Building Exercises during the Field Training Exercise (FTX) component.
The BCMT SALIMBAY course, which ran from July 27 to Oct. 11, 2025, concluded with a ceremony at the Gaerlan Auditorium in Clark Air Force City. A total of 72 trainees completed the program, drawing professionals from various fields including law, medicine, engineering and business.
Prior to joining the CDC board in 2023, Henson gained national recognition as Binibining Pilipinas 2010 Second Runner-Up and Miss World Philippines 2011 First Princess.
A lawyer by profession, she worked as a news anchor and correspondent for CLTV36, CNN Philippines and 9TV. She graduated cum laude with a degree in Mass Communication from St. Scholastica’s College Manila, earned her Juris Doctor from the Arellano University School of Law and completed executive programs at Harvard Business School.
Major General Pablo Rustia Jr., PAF, Commander of the Air Force Reserve Command, served as the guest of honor and speaker during the ceremony.
The graduates were formally inducted by Colonel Michael Odylon Romero, PAF (GSC) (Res), founding chairman of the Association of Reservists and Reservist Administrators of the Philippines Inc. (ARRAPI). Colonel Marc Anthony Yambing, PAF (GSC), Commanding Officer of the 2nd Air Reserve Center, led the training.
