Nine Philippine companies were named among the world’s best employers for 2025 by Forbes magazine, with San Miguel Corp. (SMC) leading the local list at No. 42 globally.
Forbes compiled the list of 900 world’s best employers in partnership with market research firm Statista, which surveyed more than 300,000 employees across more than 50 countries.
Companies were eligible for the ranking if they employed more than 1,000 people and operated globally. The online surveys asked respondents where they worked via an open-ended question.
SMC was the highest-ranked Philippine company, followed by Ayala Corp. at 139, Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. at 154, Land Bank of the Philippines at 187, LT Group at 421, Century Pacific Group at 453, Jollibee Foods Corp. at 455, BDO Unibank Inc. at 585 and Cebu Air Inc. at 770.
The world’s top ten employers were identified as Microsoft Corp. (US), Delta Airlines (US), Alphabet (US), Adobe (US), BMW Group (Germany), NVIDIA (US), Sony (Japan), IBM (US), Apple (US), and Lego Group (Denmark).
