The Marcos Jr. administration’s economic managers are expected to lay the groundwork on how the government plans to sustain economic growth amid turbulent global conditions at the annual economic forum of the Economic Journalists Association of the Philippines on Aug. 11, 2025.
The entire economic team, together with Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Eli Remolona Jr., will speak at the EJAP economic forum with the theme “Midterm Momentum: Balancing Stability and Ambition” that will be held at the BSP Assembly Hall.
Department of Economy, Planning and Development Secretary Arsenio Balisacan will set the scene on the current economic status of the Philippines and the road ahead, while Finance Secretary Ralph Recto will expound on how the government plans to fund its ever-growing budget.
Department of Budget and Management Secretary Amenah Pangandaman will delve into the inner workings of the upcoming 2026 National Expenditure Program, while Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs Secretary Frederick Go will shed light on the overarching marching orders of President Marcos in boosting the country’s investment and ramping-up economic activities.
