Screen star Daniel Padilla is overjoyed with the latest movie he is filming. Titled Kun Maupay Man It Panahon (Whether the Weather is Fine), the young actor has nothing but good words to describe the latest project including the set of “amazing cast” he’s working with.
“I’m proud and at the same time challenged with this project. For one, I’m sharing the frame with Ma’m Charo Santos-Concio whom we all know is a very good actress,” he says.
“It’s great working with her. When you have an acting stalwart like her as the person you’re doing the scene with, you can’t help but be in your best elements. I can say that she is bringing out the best in me. We help each other in each scene and it’s simply awesome. Again, I’m really blessed, thankful and humbled to be working with Ma’m Charo!”
The material is also something new for Daniel. According to the 24-year-old actor, the plot is very timely and relevant. “It’s about the plight of the survivors of Typhoon Yolanda in 2013,” she shares.
Kun Maupay Man It Panahon (Whether the Weather is Fine) is directed by Carlo Francisco Manatad, who hails from Tacloban. He gained attention with his short film Jodilerks Dela Cruz, Employee of the Month, which competed at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017.
“Definitely, this movie is a breath of fresh air for me. It has a different feel which makes it very exciting. I’m very sure the public will like it,” Daniel ends.

Magkaagaw co-stars Sheryl Cruz and Jeric Gonzales both nixed the rumor that allegedly, they’re playing beautiful music together.
This is to disprove the report that Jeric and his non-showbiz partner broke up in December 2019 while taking a vacation in Japan. Rumor has it that Sheryl allegedly sent a sweet message to Jeric with the word “Baby” which caught the attention of the latter’s partner. This allegedly caused the split-up of the couple.
“How can that happen when in the first place, I don’t have a girlfriend right now? How can that be possible when I’m very much single at the moment?” says Jeric.
Meanwhile, Sheryl just laughs it off.
“That’s true! When I first heard of the rumor, I couldn’t help but laugh. I just told myself that perhaps, it’s because our show is popular and doing well at the ratings chart so people talk about us.”
Interestingly, Jeric sees something positive about the rumor.
“Actually, I felt glad when I heard of the rumor. It means that people find our portrayals as secret lovers in ‘Magkaagaw’ effective,” he ends.
