Manila Standard editor’s mother passes away at 76

Evelyn Pinaroc, mother of Manila Standard desk editor Joel Pinaroc, died on Dec. 2. She was 76.

“My Mama Evie is now in heaven. In my heart, I believe her journey was peaceful,” Joel said in a post on Facebook.

“She lived a fulfilled and meaningful life. Until the very end, she was ‘Mama Evie’ to everyone. On behalf of the family, thank you all for the prayers and encouraging words,” he added.

Funeral details are still being finalized.
