In line with the 34th National Statistics Month celebration, the Provincial Population Office-Outreach (PPO-Outreach) headed by Mrs. Nelia M. Espino conducted the Laguna Forum on Statistics with the theme “Accelerating Progress: Promoting Data and Statistics for Healthy Philippines” at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Conference Hall, Provincial Capitol Compound, Sta. Cruz, Laguna, Oct. 24, 2023.
The event was attended by notable individuals and representatives, including Municipal Planning and Development Coordinators from different municipalities of Laguna, population officers and workers, and representatives from DepED Laguna, Provincial Information Office (PIO), and DILG Laguna.
Not to mention Rosalia Cortez, OIC-SP Secretary representing Vice Gov. Karen Agapay, Dr. Sarah Salamat from PHO-Laguna Chest Center representing Dr. Rene P. Bagamasbad, and Maria Rowena Beatriz Q. Inzon, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator.
To support the event were Marinela C. Magcamit, Supervising Statistical Specialist at Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), who served as the keynote speaker, and Marilyn F. Ogaya, Commission on Population and Development Regional Director, who acted as the resource speaker. Provincial Administrator Dulce H. Rebanal graced the event with her insightful messages.
The diverse participants and speakers made the Laguna Forum on Statistics a significant event for promoting the importance of data and statistics in achieving a healthier Philippines.
