Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs Sarah Lou Arriola led the distribution of Flexi cards, an alternative working visa permit on migrants based in the Kingdom of Bahrain. From the 942 undocumented Filipinos who have now normalized their immigration status, another 17 Filipinos benefited from it during the distribution held at the Labour Market Regulatory Authority in Bahrain on Dec. 26, 2019. The Philippines is the only country that pays for flexible work permits­ also known as ‘blue cards‘ —and provides the same to undocumented Filipino migrants based in Bahrain.
