A pair of Thai models were named grand winners at the inaugural Global Asian Model World with finals held at the Cove Nightclub, Okada Manila, Pasay City on Thursday night.
Artittaya Promchart and Falco Sornnarin won Female Global Asian Model 2019 and Male Global Asian Model 2019, respectively, besting thirty-six other candidates from twenty countries around the world.

Philippine representatives Ella Eiveren Lubag and Vince Lennard Marcelo finished as 1st runner-up and 3rd runner-up, respectively. Runa Matsui of Japan, Anyssa Mendez of the USA and My Duyen of Vietnam were named 2nd, 3rd, and 4th runners-up, respectively. Alexander Tomohiro of Japan and Luke Pereira of Singapore finished as 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively, while Tran Quang of Vietnam was named 4th runner-up.
Promchart and Sornnarin won $10,000 worth of modeling contract each. They will be working around Asia and will be based in Manila. They will also have the chance to become world-renowned personalities in the prestigious modeling capitals in the world like Paris, London, Milan, New York, and L.A.
Others who made the Top 10 finalist were, for the male, New South Wales, USA, Mongolia, Germany, and South Korea, while for the female were Nepal, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Vietnam, and Thailand.
The board of judges included Kevin Ipalari, Diego Harmuch, Rey Ilagan, Francis Arden Enriquez, and RS Francisco. Miss Universe Singapore Mohana Prabha and Miss Universe Singapore 2011 Valerie Lim were special guests.

Student crowned first Munting Mutya ng Pilipinas 2019
Six-grader Ayumi Yzzabel Chavez bested 47 other young contenders from around the country and was crowned Munting Mutya ng Pilipinas 2019 at the conclusion of the three-hour, exciting coronation finals held Sunday night at the AFP Museum and Multipurpose Theater in Quezon City.
The 11-year-old, bedimpled, six grader of Padre Zamora Elementary School in Pasay City shone among the little contending girls, ages from 5 to 12, and won the right to represent the Philippines at Best Kid Model Universe 2020 to be held in Milan, Italy.
Samantha Niebres of Olongapo City was named first runner up while Cassey Thomas of Cabuyao City, Laguna and Rhoelle Mamorno of Batangas Province finished as 3rd and 4th, respectively. Ashanti Madrazo of Montalban Rizal was named 4th runner up. Niebres will compete at the Junior Model International 2020 set in Dubai.
Onin Mas and former Mrs. Tourism International 2017 Risa Caldoza hosted the inaugural kids’ pageant, which aims to empower the young generation to value education, fight against bullying and discrimination.

Proceeds from the coronation will go to the “Isang Lapis at Papel, Isang Pangarap” Project Foundation which helps less fortunate kids towards building their dreams to reality and create common goals to the young generation.
