Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente reshuffled the bureau’s Travel Control Enforcement Unit officers holding key positions at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminals 1, 2 and 3 as part of management’s thrust to revitalize operations.

 Morente signed an order, Letter Directive No. JHM 2019-381,  designating and transferring all TCEU personnel to their new positions effective immediately.

Morente also signed personnel order JHM No. 2019-884 and 885, reassigning Immigration officer III Anthony Lopez  as deputy head for Operations, Foreign Travel Monitoring Unit and no longer TCEU-NAIA 3 terminal head and Ma. Lourdes G. Quidangen IO3, as deputy head for Administration, Foreign Travel Monitoring Unit.

Assigned at the TCEU Central Office as overall deputy head for Operations is Ma. Carelyn S. Taberna; while overall deputy head for Administration is Mary Jane D. Hizon.

New TCEU officers are as follows: NAIA 1 Terminal Head—Maria Rosalia Concessa V. Acuna; Deputy Terminal Head—Syranrus E. Ebdane-Tizon; NAIA 2 Terminal Head—Ma. Ruby C. Fontejon; Deputy Terminal Head—Leni A. Maminta;

NAIA 3 Terminal Head—Ma. Bernadette N. Catipay; Deputy Terminal Head—Ma. Angelica B. Timtiman.

Among their duties is to conduct a secondary inspection of passengers arriving and departing in the different international ports.

“This is just the initial wave of a thorough revamp that we shall implement in our airports in the coming days,” Morente said.

Morente observed that many of the officers who were relieved or replaced as a result of the reshuffle have been in their posts for more than two years.

“It is time to give others a chance to assume the responsibility of overseeing our operations at the airports,” he said.
