Davao City—Davao Region was hit by a 6.4-magnitude earthquake Saturday afternoon.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the epicenter of the earthquake, which was tectonic, was in Malay, Davao Oriental.

The earthquake was felt at Intensity 5 (strong shaking felt by most people outdoors and indoors) in Davao City and in Mati City, Davao Oriental; Intensity 4 in Koronadal City and Bislig City; Intensity 3 in Tupi, South Cotabato and in Alabel and Malapata in Sarangani; and Intensity 2 in Cotabato City and General Santos City.
