ANOTHER explosive and tough UNTV Cup schedule is expected as the quarterfinal starts on Sunday at the Pasig City Sports Center.
Malacañang-PSC Kamao (7-3) and the Senate Defenders (7-3) own twice-to-beat advantages, while the former champions Judiciary Magis (6-4) and PNP Responders (6-4) are on survival mode.
In the first game, the Senate Defenders will try to send the PNP Responders to vacation in the middle of the season when they clash at 3 p.m.

The Defenders will be led by ballers/legislators Senator Sonny Anagara and Sen. Joel Villanueva, together with Jeffry Sanders, Garri Sevilla and Marlon Legaspi, while the Responders will be spearheaded by former MVP Ollan Omiping, Harold Sta. Cruz and Anton Tolentino.
In the second game, a UNTV Cup Season 3 championship rivalry will be renewed as former two-time champion Judiciary Magis takes on former two-time first runner-up Malacañang-PSC Kamao at 4:30 p.m.
The Kamao will advance to the semifinals outright with a win.
The Judiciary basketball club will be led by Justice Midas Marquez, together with former professional players Don Camaso, Chester Tolomia and Warren Ybañez, while the President’s men will be led by Christian Luanzon and Eric Dela Cuesta.
The survivors of the quarterfinals will face the waiting NHA and AFP in the semifinal round of the league of the public servants, UNTV Cup.
