Shearwater Health, one of the largest clinical process outsourcing companies in the US and possibly the largest CPO in the Philippines, is expanding local operations to the Visayas to add as much as 900 more seats to the company’s wokforce.
Country manager for the Philippines Abshum Sinha said the company was expecting more business from US clients in the healthcare sector in the next three years.
“We are looking for a site in Central Visayas, could be in Iloilo or Bacolod. Davao is also a possible expansion site in Mindanao,” he said at the launch and rebranding ceremonies of the new Shearwater headquarters in the Philippines.
The company will decide on the new site within three months. The expansion is set to take place by the first quarter of 2017.
Formerly HCCA International and HCCA Health Connections, Shearwater recently announced a company rebranding after consolidating both businesses in the Philippines under the Shearwater Health name.
HCCA International has been recruiting and deploying highly experienced nurses and other medical professionals from the Philippines to hospitals and healthcare organizations in the US since 2002.
HCCA International has placed over 1,000 nurses in over 1,000 US hospitals.
HCCA Health Connections offers full-spectrum of outsourcing jobs to clients that include medical management, medical coding and other health-care related support services.
Shearwater has found a a three-floor headquarters in Net Park, a 48-storey green building in the Bonifacio Global Center. Its second facility is located within the Ayala Business Park in Cebu.
Shearwater has the one the highest number of licensed clinicians in the US and the biggest CPO company with a 100-percent in the Philippines.
“We are now well-positioned to match the growth of the company while providing a comfortable, state-of-the-art work environment for all of our employees,” said chairman David Bartholomew.
The new headquarters has the capability of approximately 1,400 seats.
