Cebu-based manufacturer produces DOST-developed technologies

RALDS Trading & Electro-Mechanical Services Corporation has added the Reed Plant Press Machine (Tikog Presser) to its list of licensed technologies from the Department of Science and Technology-Metals Industry Research and Development Center.

Recently, it has been certified to use, manufacture, and sell the said technology.

RALDS Trading & Electro-Mechanical Services Corporation is a Cebu-based fabricator of customized equipment for food processing, mechanical, and industrial machines. The company has been an adopter of several food processing equipment designed and developed by the DOST-MIRDC since 2018. It is a licensed fabricator of the LPG-fired

Spray Dryer, Modular Water Retort, and Vacuum Frying Machine. The Tikog Presser, also a technology developed by the DOST-MIRDC, is the latest addition to Ralds’ portfolio of licensed technologies. The certificate was awarded to the company in January 2021.

“We were able to learn new technology and upgrade the knowledge of our employees. As a licensee, we were accredited by DOST-MIRDC and we were made as a reference to various clients that need the technology,” CEO of RALDS Trading & Electro-Mechanical Services Corporation, Engr. Salvador D. Faelnar, said.

As an adopter of DOST-MIRDC-developed technologies, RALDS has already served the requirements of several clients not only in Cebu, but also in Tacloban, Samar, Batangas and Leyte.

Now a licensed fabricator of the Tikog Presser, RALDS Trading will be able to expand its market base to include handicraft makers.

Truly, Filipinos can produce world-class machinery. And with the current situation, supporting fellow countrymen’s products is the key in reviving the crippled economy.
