"Our core technology feature is high speed and high accuracy," Senior Regional Manager Visual Products and Robotics Solutions Division, Epson Singapore, Hayashi Seiji said.

The lineup is powered by Sensing Technology, which combines Image Processing and Force Sensor that enable the robots to possess human-like sight and sense of touch.

"Image processing is like human eyes, the robot can see," Hayashi said. "Force sensor is like human hand. It can sense touch."

The lineup includes the N2 Robot, the LS3 industrial robot, the T3, and the T6 robots, with each having varying degrees of specialties depending on industry needs.

The L-series is the best seller in China, its latest model, the LS3 is engineered to deliver high speed and high performance in more sophisticated tasks such as electronic and mechanical assembly. It can handle a maximum payload of 3kg and has an arm length of 400mm.

"The L-series is the best selling in China for eight years. As we all know, China is the leading market in robotics," Hayashi added.

The N2 Robot is a 6-axis robot and the world's first to possess a folded arm structure for further improved maneuverability, efficiency, and precision.

With a maximum reach of 450mm and a 2.5 kg payload, the N2 Robot is designed for assembly of electronic parts, medical components, and consumer products.

T3 and T6 robots are designed to save space with their controller-less structure. They are designed for simple material handling tasks such as test loading and unloading.

Epson is the leading provider of SCARA robots from 2011 to 2018 based on shipping history and unit according to a Japan-based company called Fuji Keizai Co., Ltd.
