Seattle—Amazon.com, Inc. today announced the creation of 3,200 skilled jobs in addition to the more than 1,800 jobs created in 2018.  The jobs will be based in Amazon’s dedicated Customer Service centers in Cebu and Manila, Philippines.

These skilled roles will support Amazon’s customers around the world and will provide 24/7 world class customer service to North America and UK customers. The American Customer Satisfaction Index recently announced the results of its annual survey, and for the 8th year in a row customer ranked Amazon #1. The United Kingdom has a similar index, The U.K. Customer Satisfaction Index, put out by the Institute of Customer Service. For the 5th time in a row Amazon U.K. ranked #1 in that survey.

Both of Amazon’s Philippines customer service centers include a range of roles including Customer Service Associates, Team Manager and Group Manager  For anyone interested in joining Amazon’s award-winning Customer Service team please visit www.amazon.jobs/manila or www.amazon.jobs/cebu

“We are excited to be continuing to invest in the Philippines and creating thousands of new roles. It has been a pleasure to work with such talented people in the Philippines who bring high levels of experience and passion to their work,” said Tom Weiland, VP Worldwide Customer Service, and Amazon.  “Amazon’s customer service is one of the strongest in supporting and delighting our customer’s day in day out and I am proud to see the Philippines growing as part of our global network.”

According to the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Director General Charito Plaza, “We would like to thank Amazon for choosing to invest in the Philippines through PEZA and for creating an additional 3,200 jobs from the initial jobs of 1,800. Amazon’s contributions are helping the country to become a key player in the digital economy in ASEAN and the world.”

In addition to Amazon Customer Services activity, Amazon Web Services (AWS) launched in the Philippines in 2016.  AWS Philippines is integral to the growth of AWS for South East Asia and is further evidence of the continued investment of AWS to help organizations around the world in accelerating their move to the cloud.  The growth of Amazon Customer Service in the Philippines will further cement our commitment to the region.
