In APAC, 61% of enterprises report adopting AI, according to a recent IBM CEO study; yet, many continue to struggle with translating this adoption into business value, hindered by gaps in executive capabilities and cultural adaptation. To address this, Thinking Machines, with the support of OpenAI aims to deliver targeted hands-on training programs, customized implementation frameworks, and the design and deployment of bespoke Agentic AI apps utilizing OpenAI’s Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).

“The markets in the Asia Pacific are showing remarkable momentum in AI adoption, underscoring the region’s readiness to embrace enterprise-grade solutions,” said Stephanie Sy, Founder and CEO of Thinking Machines. “Through our collaboration with OpenAI, we’re not just bringing in new technology but we’re helping organizations build the skills, strategies, and support systems they need to take advantage of AI. For us, it’s about reinventing the future of work through human-AI collaboration and making AI truly work for people across the Asia Pacific Region.”

Harnessing Open AI’s Impact in APAC

The announcement aligns with the Philippines’ strong momentum in AI adoption, as highlighted in Boston Consulting Group’s Unlocking Southeast Asia’s AI Potential study. The report shows that 80% of organizations in the country are already adopting AI, with 32% classified as “Performers” effectively driving business value. In generative AI, nearly half of enterprises in the Philippines (46%) are considered “Performers,” reflecting increasing readiness to integrate next-generation AI capabilities.

At the same time, organizations highlight the need for more support, particularly in upskilling (23%), clear adoption guidelines (19%), and access to trusted vendor networks (13%), areas directly addressed by the partnership’s training, governance, and implementation programs.

“Across Asia Pacific, we are seeing business leaders eager to unlock new productivity gains and venture into innovative use cases with AI. This initiative with Thinking Machines will give leaders the know-how and hands-on support to embed our latest GPT-5 model into their daily operations, helping them move from experimentation to impact”, added Andy Brown, Head of Go-to-Market, Asia Pacific for OpenAI.

Scaling Generative AI Across the Enterprise

With over 10,000 professionals in the region already trained in AI by Thinking Machines, the collaboration builds on this proven track record to launch a comprehensive executive enablement program. Designed to help leaders create what the companies call “AI second brains” for unprecedented productivity gains, the program equips senior executives with the tools to strategically apply AI within their organizations.

Beyond this, this effort with OpenAI also delivers a broader set of enterprise-focused services. Thinking Machines’ Executive Leadership Programs will equip C-suite leaders and senior managers with the strategic tools they need to implement AI responsibly, establish governance frameworks, and drive measurable productivity gains across their organizations.
