HCT accelerates nationwide academic engagement with series of roadshows, conferences, international collaborations

HCT Academy continues to make strides in advancing healthcare education through a robust series of roadshows, workshops, and strategic academic engagements across the Philippines and beyond. From May to early June 2025, HCT led and participated in several high-impact events to strengthen partnerships, showcase innovation in simulation training, and empower nursing educators and students.

Weekly University Roadshows: Strengthening Local Connections

HCT launched its University Roadshow Campaign, visiting top institutions weekly to promote advanced training solutions in healthcare education. These roadshows have opened doors to deeper collaboration with local universities, offering simulation workshops, AHA courses, and partnership opportunities that align with CHED and PRC standards.

PNA Summer Conference (May 16, Manila Prince Hotel)

At the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) Summer Conference, HCT showcased its continuous professional development programs and innovative simulation strategies. The event served as a platform to connect with licensed professionals and educators passionate about enhancing nursing practice nationwide.

International Engagement: University of Barcelona Visit (May 19–23)

Mr. Pedro Cartaxo Cintra from the University of Barcelona visited the Philippines as part of HCT’s efforts to internationalize its academic programs. Discussions centered on student mobility, collaborative research, and simulation-based education, laying the groundwork for future global linkages with European institutions.

Training the Trainers & Beyond the Checklist Workshops

HCT spearheaded back-to-back faculty development programs including the Train the Trainers and Beyond the Checklist workshops in partnership with several universities. These sessions enhanced faculty capabilities in delivering competency-based healthcare education using advanced tools and patient-centered teaching methods.

CHED Region 4 Event (May 20)

During the CHED Region 4 Training and Consultation, HCT actively engaged with higher education stakeholders to present new opportunities in academic partnerships, VR-based instruction, and internationally-aligned curricula—cementing its role as a transformative force in Philippine healthcare education.

JCI, IPSG, and VR Simulation Workshop in Bacolod (June 3–4)

In Bacolod, HCT conducted its JCI, IPSG, and VR Workshop, demonstrating the practical application of international patient safety standards through immersive virtual reality. Participants from partner and potential schools gained hands-on experience and insights into global best practices, reaffirming the academy’s leadership in cutting-edge clinical training.

ADPCN National Convention in Bacolod (June 5–6)

With a vibrant presence at the Association of Deans of Philippine Colleges of Nursing (ADPCN) event in Bacolod, HCT engaged over 500 nursing deans and educators. A highlight was the raffle of two VR simulation kits, won by Central Philippine University and Ateneo de Zamboanga, reinforcing HCT’s commitment to immersive learning. An exclusive dinner with the ADPCN Board and Secretariat at Pala Pala Bacolod further strengthened HCT’s ties with academic leaders nationwide.

Looking Ahead:

With this momentum, HCT is set to continue its weekly university roadshow campaign in June and July, reaching more schools in Catanduanes, Bacolod, Iloilo, Zamboanga, Davao, CDO, and Baguio. These initiatives underscore HCT’s mission to bring world-class healthcare education to every corner of the Philippines—bridging gaps, building partnerships, and shaping future-ready professionals.
