Philtower, MIDC, ZTE boost collab at MWC Barcelona ‘25

ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, and Phil-tower Consortium Inc. and Miescor Infrastructure Development Corporation, an independent tower company (ITC) in the Philippines, have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2025 in Spain.

This agreement marks a significant step toward enhancing the country’s telecommunications infrastructure.

Under the MoU, ZTE, Philtower, and MIDC will explore the feasibility of supplying Radio Access Network (RAN) equipment under a neutral host model. This collaboration aims to accelerate the expansion of telecommunications networks in the Philippines, driving the adoption of 5G and next-generation mobile technologies while delivering enhanced connectivity and network quality to local users. All parties have obtained the necessary approvals and authorizations to proceed with this agreement.

Devid Honore Gubiani, President and Chief Executive Officer of Philtower and MIDC, stated, “Our partnership with ZTE will leverage its cutting-edge technology and expertise to support telecom operators in the Philippines.
