To add more learning opportunities for students of the Web3 Metaversity Program, Yield Guild Games (YGG) Pilipinas is proud to announce its acquisition of the AI education platform 10XME. With this acquisition, 10XME’s professional AI courses will become part of the Web3 Metaversity offerings.
These include courses for improving productivity using AI tools and applications, as well as integrating AI into the business workflow.
With the global AI market reaching almost US$197 billion in 2023, YGG Pilipinas’ Web3 Metaversity program aims to equip Filipinos with the skills and knowledge needed to ensure they thrive with these shifts in technology. It is expected that this exponentially growing industry will open up 97 million new jobs by 2025, with demand for professionals with AI-related skills and experience increasing steadily. Skilled AI and Web3 workers could bring billions of pesos to the Philippine economy, similar to how English skills led to over 800 BPO companies opening in the country and approximately US$30 billion in revenue.
10XME’s co-founders Bianca Cruz and Miggy Azurin, will be joining the Web3 Metaversity team to help the program deliver quality AI education to Filipinos all over the country. Miggy and Bianca are also experienced entrepreneurs in the local web3 community. Bianca led business development at the Philippine crypto exchange Moneybees before founding the web3 activations and public relations (PR) firm ATT3ND, while Miggy co-founded the web3 media platform, The Mega Maxi.
“As we move into a world where AI is ubiquitous, the Filipino community needs relevant skills and education to help them take advantage of this economic opportunity,” said YGG Pilipinas Country Head Mench Dizon. “At the heart of YGG Pilipinas is a mission to upskill and educate community members all over the country, especially in the provinces. 10xme will be instrumental in growing Metaversity, adding extensive experience in AI education and application. We’re excited to bring these to the community and work towards a more optimistic future with web3 and AI.”
Since its founding in June 2023, 10XME has worked with companies such as Coins.ph, Globe, and Microsoft, to improve competency with emerging AI technologies such as large language models (LLMs). With their educational resources, the Web3 Metaversity program will be able to round out its offerings, preparing enrollees to learn more about two emerging technologies steadily increasing adoption around the world: blockchain and AI.
Part of 10XME’s initiative that YGG will adopt into Web3 Metaversity is how AI can benefit a wide range of industries, from healthcare to agriculture, and even the average office environment. 10XME was known for teaching business owners and professionals that they can amplify efficiency through AI. One of 10XME’s core programs is an in-depth guide on how to manage an AI content pipeline, which can potentially replace a marketing team.
“AI is changing many industries around the world and our goal is to make sure that Filipinos do not get left behind,” said 10XME co-founder Bianca Cruz. “Under YGG Pilipinas, we’ll have the resources and support needed to transform more lives and help people find success in their careers. We’re excited to be a part of Web3 Metaversity, using the knowledge and skills we’ve gathered over the years to help others.”
Since 2022, Web3 Metaversity has provided classes and bootcamps to countless Filipinos, covering the ins and outs of web3, such as interacting with digital wallets, web3 games, and cryptocurrency. The program has also connected its students with thought leaders from YGG, offering mentorship programs and Discord coaching sessions.
Web3 Metaversity also has the distinction of going directly to attendees instead of relying on an online-only structure. In the YGG Pilipinas Roadtrip, Web3 Metaversity has onboarded Filipinos from all over the country to web3. The Roadtrip has made stops in Batangas, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, and Bacolod, and is currently preparing for its final leg in Manila, which will be held on July 14, 2024, at Ayala Malls TriNoma.
