From global payment experiences to multiple innovations at hand, GCash is now geared to be more accessible to everyone.

Mobile wallet GCash has introduced several new financial services to reach more users here and abroad, with greater access to new features that are designed for inclusion in the growing global digital landscape.

At its Futurecast 2024 event in Makati, GCash has unveiled security enhancements, AI-powered features such as two new AI assistants, and an improved dashboard.

With its upcoming NFC-powered Tap-to-Pay mode, commuters won’t need to fall in line to buy cards and tickets just to pay for their fare. All they need to do is have a phone with a working NFC and tap it on supported terminals to pay for your fare.

Expected to roll out on local train systems like MRT and LRT as well as other bus systems soon, GCash also promised that there are no fees, no requirements, and no application forms needed just to use the NFC service to pay.

Through GCash Jr. and GSave Jr., parents can easily send money to their children—may it be for their allowance or for their savings.

This service will have parent control to ensure there is still supervision of adults. The account can be turned into a savings account and can also be used for fund management.

Just like the regular GCash account, GCash Jr. will also have a Visa card that they can use to pay for what they want to purchase anywhere in the world.

Other features GCash also launched include international cash-in, borrowing on the spot, as well as new sustainability efforts. According to GCash, these updates deliver a better financial service experience and bring Filipinos to the next stage of financial inclusion.

“We’ve shown you how GCash is committed to creating the most advanced app experiences, but our vision goes beyond that,” GCash Market Education head for Wealth Management Mark Ilao said during the event. “We believe that our technology can truly transform the world we live in.”
