Etiqa PH’s portal offers shorter turnaround time for Letter of Guarantee requests

Etiqa Philippines has launched its Letter of Guarantee Portal’s 3-step process to reduce the turnaround time for issuing Letters of Guarantee from 24 hours to four hours now, with a daily cut-off time of 2 p.m. on weekdays.

This initiative is aimed at processing Letters of Guarantee in a timely manner, arising from a surge of demand for health care services and ensuing delays experienced by the Philippines’ insurance industry in processing these letters during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Etiqa Philippines’ Medical Director Dra. Maria Luisa Mamaril said, “The pandemic has fast-tracked the digitalization of industries and paved the way for businesses to adopt digital strategies. This transition also significantly transformed customer expectations, including in the Philippines, as many are growing accustomed to digital interactions. Through Etiqa’s new LOG Portal’s 3-step process, we hope that this service will provide added convenience and ensure that customers receive the required health service in the quickest time.”

Easy three-step process

The Etiqa LOG Portal’s 3-step process eliminates the need for customers to call Etiqa’s hotline to request a Letter of Guarantee. To use the Etiqa LOG Portal’s 3-step process, customers will need to access the portal via a QR code or URL found on Etiqa Philippines’ Facebook page.

Next, they provide basic information such as their name, Etiqa Philippines card number, name of company, email address, type of request, date of availability, name of facility, and doctor’s request form, if applicable.

Once the step above has been completed, a confirmation email on the request will be sent to the customer, indicating that the request is now being processed.

Customers will then receive the Letter of Guarantee that will be sent to their email.

“This is a new era where customers are actively looking for user-friendly, simple, and efficient services. We are committed to enhancing our services to give them a richer digital experience that addresses their concerns about insurance claims and Letters of Guarantee.” said Mamaril.

The Etiqa Philippines LOG Portal may be accessed by scanning the QR code on Etiqa Philippines’ website or by visiting (https://etiqaph.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new).
