ACMobility, the mobility solutions arm of the Ayala Group, in partnership with the City of Makati, are in the works to accelerate the EV infrastructure around the Metro. By the first quarter of 2025, the city is targeting to have 74 fully operational charging points across 18 strategic locations, including offices, malls, and condominiums, making it easier for residents and visitors to access and address EV charging woes, especially while on the go. “ACMobility is thrilled to enhance Makati’s mobility infrastructure with a comprehensive charging network,” said Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, CEO of ACMobility. “Makati exemplifies the potential of electric mobility, and we are committed to supporting its transition toward a greener future.”
Makati City has long been recognized for its commitment to sustainability, implementing eco-friendly initiatives that foster environmental stewardship. The city’s strategic location and progressive policies make it an ideal hub for sustainable mobility and a natural partner for ACMobility’s expansion. Mayor Abigail “Abby” Binay emphasized this collaboration, stating, “By boosting our EV infrastructure through ACMobility, we are integrating cleaner technologies into the daily lives of Makatizens, ensuring the entire community can benefit from electric vehicles.”

With 47 charging points already operational, ACMobility’s network serves a variety of locations, including key areas like the Makati Stock Exchange. The upcoming expansion will add 27 more charging points, including 19 DC fast chargers, significantly reducing charging times.
ACMobility’s mission to drive the Philippines’ transition to electrified transportation is clear. “We aim to support Makati’s transformation into a benchmark for sustainable urban mobility,” said Carla Buencamino, Head of Mobility Infrastructure.
