As we grow older, our body starts to show signs of the years through various manifestations, either physically or internally. This can be seen through wrinkles, dark spots, and uneven skin tones. Aging also represents itself through bodily pains, aches, and even chronic ailments.

Battle the signs of aging with Dr. JLo’s new organic food supplement line

Many individuals have since tried different approaches to combat the effects of aging. They resorted to various beauty regimens and turned to preventive medicine to solve their health problems. But medical doctor Joel Lopez, popularly known as Doctor JLo, a US-trained integrative medicine physician, and certified nutrition specialist believes that there’s a better solution to achieving wellness, internally and externally.

He recently launched a new line of food supplements called “Vitale” that each has a role in combating the signs of aging.

Lopez’s expertise ranges from biological, preventative, age management, and regenerative medicine. He is also educated in holistic treatments of chronic degenerative diseases and age-related disorders.

Now back in the Philippines, Lopez is extending his knowledge and expertise through his clinic in Centuria Medical Makati that offers a wide range of services that aim to transform, boost, and maintain overall wellness for his patients.

Using natural ingredients to promote vitality

There is a total of six supplements in the Vitale line, namely, Contour, Flush, Rich, Forte, Erexia, and Core 8C. Each brand has a formula made from natural ingredients that were carefully selected by Lopez himself because of their healing properties.

Lopez personally came up with the recipe for each brand, so they can better target the root causes of aging.

For instance, Vitale Contour contains Caralluma, Garcinia Cambogia, green tea, and flax seeds, ingredients that are well-known for their role in weight loss and appetite suppression. Contour serves as a natural and healthy supplement that helps consumers achieve their dream body.

Vitale Flush, on the other hand, contains chlorella and spirulina to aid the body in removing toxins that cause damage to the cells. Meanwhile, Vitale Rich uses several natural ingredients known for their antioxidant content to help consumers fend off prevalent ailments and diseases through proper and balanced nutrition.

Numerous natural ingredients can also be found in Vitale Forte. Lopez created the brand using the most powerful natural antivirals available. The combined efficacy of the ingredients gives pathogens very little chance to gain a foothold in one’s immune system.

Another brand in the Vitale line of food supplements is Erexia. Made with Tongkat Ali, puncture vine, L-arginine, and horny goat extract, Erexia targets hormonal imbalance which is common in aging. Despite its name, Vitale Erexia is suitable for both men and women.

Lastly, the Vitale Core 8C consists of Camu-Camu berry extract that is known for its substantially high levels of vitamin C. It also contains eight essential elements which allow the body and cells to absorb the nutrients fully.

But anti-aging isn’t the only condition that Vitale addresses. Lopez’s new food supplement line also comes with an option that protects the public against COVID-19 and other diseases.

According to Lopez, Vitale Forte and Vitale Core 8C can also be taken since these have antiviral properties and boosts the immune system, respectively.

The Vitale food supplement line was made possible with the support of Lopez’s business partners, CEO/ Managing Partner Princess Consing, and Managing Partner Architect Geefy Evangelista.

“[Vitale] is available here in the clinic and will be available on online platforms very soon. We have yet to announce it as we are still discussing the terms and other negotiations,” Consing said.

Consing also said that the. Lopez, M.D. Medical Group Inc. has other pending collaborations with other clinics such as Shinigawa, the world's largest LASIK surgery provider and Japan's leading chain of aesthetic clinics, and Seiryu Pharmacy.

“We are also open to resellers because, as much as possible, we would want [Vitale] to be available nationwide,” she said.

Lopez added that the buyers’ current health condition will also be considered upon purchasing the supplements so that medical practitioners, resellers, and partner stores can better suggest the proper brand for them to take.

Seeking a holistic approach

Lopez’s holistic approach to wellness has always been a key factor in his career. This is what got him recognized by high-rise celebrities in America, earning him the moniker “Doctor to the Stars. But Lopez’s pursuit of finding wellness that goes beyond the present practice of medicine that we have today.

Born and raised in Manila, Lopez studied medical technology as a prerequisite before entering medical school at the Far Eastern University in Manila. He later moved to the United States to further his education.

While overseas, Lopez did his residency program in internal medicine at the Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. But he realized that merely treating the patients and giving them medicine to manage their symptoms was a repetitive cycle that could have negative effects. Lopez thought that there must be some other way that patients can restore and maintain their vitality without having to resort to medicine constantly.

He began seeking other ways to address patients’ concerns, which led him to study complementary and alternative medicine after completing his residency. Lopez later received board certification in nutrition, anti-aging, and regenerative medicine.

Armed with the new approach to medicine, he began his practice of spreading a holistic way towards a healthy lifestyle. His efforts soon bore success as many heeded his advice and practiced what the Doctor to the Stars was promoting.

Lopez continues his advocacy to help and educate more people about the science of holistic medicine and its benefits by training other doctors, leading roadshows and health talks, as well as guesting in TV and radio programs among others.

Today, Lopez uses his knowledge of regenerative medicine and other fields of expertise to raise awareness on how everyday Filipinos can combat diseases. And with the COVID-19 pandemic still a threat to the country, he offers several solutions on how the public can prevent the virus and other ailments to cause significant damage to their bodies.

He believes that equipping the Filipinos with knowledge on how they can take better control of their bodies will lead to a more fruitful journey, one that leads to holistic wellness.
