Alike, a young publication, has managed to feature the country’s best and brightest, the millennials of today… the titans of industry tomorrow.

With 2020 mimicking a real-life game of Survivor, one digital media company dared to focus on inspiring young people who grew despite the challenges brought about by the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Alike Media Inc. has recently launched its inaugural coffee table book, Alike Reset 2020, which features 50 personalities from fields as diverse as politics, sports, business, and showbiz who have not only survived, but thrived through 2020.

“Alike is about stories that inspire and the people behind them,” shares Digital Marketing Director, Brian Poe-Llamanzares, “With Alike Reset, we tried to collect hopeful stories so that readers can find the common threads involved in human resilience, as well as glean inspiration from those who’ve applied it.”

And while the hardcover publication is an investment, the company’s CFO Magellan Fetalino, a highly successful start-up fin-tech entrepreneur, says: “Alike Media is here to celebrate people, not profits. Elevating the digital media landscape with content that isn’t just interesting but is also informational, is a decision our board couldn’t afford to miss.”

Their first ever publication painted a hopeful future for the country. Alike’s content is currently a mix of thought pieces, advertorial essays, sprinkled with the occasional inspirational post. Their fresh content has landed the premium digital publication among the top 10 digital publications based on digital analytics across social media platforms.

“Perhaps it’s because we’re focused on featuring stories that speak the currency of our time – hope,” suggests Rosemary Tolentino, Alike’s CEO, “it used to be fashion or style or luxury. Now, it is looking to the future with a glint of courage in one’s eyes.” Tolentino, a rising star in the fast moving consumer goods world believes that digital media is the way to go to lead and inspire during a time of deep economic and political depression.

The Alike team feels honored to be able to feature such moving stories and inspiring individuals. Alike Founder, Editor-in-Chief, and COO Chari Trinidad-Mendoza says “Alike was created by the young, for the young. Our goal has been to inspire our audience with motivating stories from the trailblazers of the generation that came before us and the bold movers of today.”

The young firm is currently on the lookout for luminaries for its 2021’s edition, noting that narrowing the field of success stories is a happy problem. “Alike seeks to embody this generation’s zeitgeist by defining the familiar,” shares Trinidad-Mendoza, “that is, an online lifestyle platform for zoomers and millenials, created by zoomers and millenials.”
