Taguig City, Philippines — March 31, 2026 — Canvela (Organizational Management Firm), led by President and CEO Raffy Galang Canare, was formally recognized by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) as the National Industry TVET Board (NITB) for E-Commerce.
The recognition was conferred during a ceremonial signing at TESDA Central Office in Fort Bonifacio, led by TESDA Secretary and Director General Jose Francisco “Kiko” Benitez, together with Deputy Directors General Vidal Villanueva, Nelly Dillera, and Felizardo Colambo. Joining Canare was Marketing Firm Partner Michael Joseph Tan.
The designation empowers Canvela to help shape national competency standards, training regulations, and certification systems for the fast-growing e-commerce sector—now projected to surpass ₱1.5 trillion in gross merchandise value and support up to 2 million Filipinos across selling, marketing, logistics, content creation, data analytics, and fulfillment.
Secretary Benitez described the initiative as a proactive response to global economic challenges, ensuring Filipinos remain resilient and competitive. Deputy Director General Nelly Dillera emphasized that strengthening skills in e-commerce supports the country’s broader economic agenda.
Canare expressed optimism that the partnership will professionalize the industry and future-proof the workforce amid the rise of artificial intelligence.
“This signals that e-commerce is no longer informal—it is professional, measurable, and globally competitive. Together, we are building a digitally skilled and world-class Filipino workforce,” he said.
The recognition marks a significant step in institutionalizing e-commerce within the country’s technical education system and strengthening support for MSMEs and digital entrepreneurs nationwide.
