Pasig City, Philippines — J&T Express Philippines is taking a major step toward greener logistics with the deployment of its first electric vehicle (EV) fleet in partnership with SINOTRUCK HOWO. This initiative underscores the company’s mission to advance sustainable delivery solutions while strengthening its nationwide coverage.
Boosting operational efficiency, the EV light truck integrates energy-efficient transport systems by being equipped with a 100 kWh battery and a range of up to 200 kilometers. The vehicle is supported by an on-site charging station and is expected to avoid around 43,000 kilograms of CO₂ emissions annually compared to conventional diesel trucks.
In line with J&T Express’ “Innovation in Every Delivery 2025” roadmap, the EV integration marks a significant milestone in the company’s strategy to lead the local logistics sector toward cleaner, more environmentally responsible operations. Having held strategic meetings with suppliers to discuss reforms in the trucking industry, J&T Express Philippines Vice President Ms. Zoe Chi led the initiative as an effort to shift the logistics landscape towards greener logistics nationwide.
