SM Supermalls Powers Talent Pipelines for Tech-Driven Healthcare & IT-BPO Companies at HIMAP Career Summit

The Skydome at SM City North EDSA transformed into a major recruitment hub as the Healthcare Information Management Association of the Philippines (HIMAP) held its Career Summit 2025 in partnership with SM Supermalls, DICT, DOLE, and QC PESO.

About 25 companies from healthcare information management and ITBPM industries participated, interviewing around 1,000 job seekers. Hosting the event at the Skydome gave employers direct access to a strong pool of young talents eager to take on digital and tech-enabled roles that drive industry growth and boost the Philippine economy.

HIMAP President Vincent Remo underscored the summit’s impact on nation-building by “changing lives and uplifting communities,” thanking SM Supermalls for making opportunities more accessible. DICT’s Jeehad Tanggol added that the initiative supports the agency’s goal of creating millions of digital jobs, committing to “continue providing job fairs to Filipinos across the country.”

As a sector that employs 190,000 professionals nationwide and generated USD 4.2 billion in 2024, HIMAP showcased alternative career paths for medical and healthcare professionals—beyond bedside work—by opening doors to globally in-demand healthcare information management careers.

Preparing tomorrow’s workforce: Senior High School students from San Francisco High School join the summit to learn, explore, and apply for tech-driven jobs.

The event also welcomed Senior High School students from San Francisco High School through DepEd, who joined to learn from the career talks and explore part-time job opportunities. Teacher Anna Jamille Restupo shared: “This opens doors for our students and helps teachers connect with partners who can prepare learners for future careers.”
