The initiative opened with the launching of the Eco Art Fair on March 17. Ormocanons showcased their creativity by transforming recyclable materials into meaningful artwork exhibit at the Ground Level Exhibit Area (in front of National Book Store). This runs until March 23.

On March 21, SM Center Ormoc takes the lead in a clean-up drive at Anilao River, a site the mall has been committed to preserving since its opening.

After the river clean-up, environmental advocates and students gather for KALiTALKS, a forum exploring ecological solutions with insights from local experts. An Eco-Fashion Show follows in the afternoon on March 21, where participants showcase wearable art made from upcycled materials.

The festivities reach its peak on March 22 when SM Center Ormoc joins the world in celebrating Earth Hour 2025.  The Boardwalk will come alive with community performances, eco-trivia games, and a Night Run and Ride, leading up to the Human 60+ Formation and Illumination at the Roof Deck.

At exactly 8:30 PM, the Global Lights Switch-Off event takes place, symbolizing the city’s commitment to energy conservation and climate action.

As part of its sustainability efforts, SM malls nationwide actively participate in Earth Hour by dimming non-essential lights and reducing energy consumption.

Beyond the symbolic switch-off, SM Supermalls implements eco-friendly initiatives year-round, including energy-efficient facilities, solar panel installations, and water conservation measures, reinforcing its commitment to a greener future.
