Kapuso IT girl Rhian Ramos takes a new ride on her showbiz career with her lifestyle and travel show, “Where in Manila”, on GMA network.

Rhian talked about her new show during the media launch held at the Winford Resort and Casino last February 27. The magazine show serves as “ultimate guide in discovering the best restaurants, trendy hangouts, and must-visit destinations in the metro.” She added that this is an opportunity for her to challenge herself in a different way, transitioning from acting “scripted characters” in teleseryes to hosting a magazine show that requires spontaneity.

“I’ve always felt the most comfortable ‘pag meron akong script or meron akong ibang character. I feel like being a host will really build your confidence in yourself.”

“Where in Manila” replaces Sam Verzosa’s “Dear SV,” airing on the same time slot – every Saturday, 11:30 PM, starting this coming March 8. Her boyfriend SV is running for mayoral seat in Manila; thus, temporarily leaving his show to focus on his election campaign.

Rhian was surprised by SV during the media launch. He then bade farewell to the press, asking their support for Rhian and her show. When asked if he offered her to take over his public affairs program, SV said that Rhian deserves to have her own show. Rhian claims that the concept of the show was inspired by SV’s adventures and discoveries around the city.

“I’m very excited to be sharing the beauty that is just in our backyard, nandito lang sa Pilipinas, nandito lang sa Metro Manila.”

According to her, it’s not just the City of Manila but also other neighboring cities that will be showcased in the show. As what’s in the title, Manila being the capital city of the Philippines, she explained.

The Kapuso actress admits that food is one of her biggest fascinations, giving viewers a glimpse of her food adventures.

“I wanna taste everything and eat everything. Through shooting a few episodes, I have eaten things I would have never thought to eat before,”

“Where in Manila” will also uncover the history, cultural roots and significance of places and trends around the city. The lifestyle magazine show is produced by TV8 Media.
