Cancer is one of the world’s leading causes of death. It is the third leading cause of death in the Philippines in 2023, based on a report released by the Philippine News Agency.
According to estimated new cases in 2024, the most common cancers, listed in descending order, are breast cancer, prostate cancer, lung and bronchus cancer, colon and rectum cancer, melanoma of the skin, bladder cancer, kidney and renal pelvic cancer, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, endometrial cancer, pancreatic cancer, leukemia, thyroid cancer, and liver cancer.
What causes cancer? Genetics, tobacco, diet, lack of exercise, alcohol, radiation, air pollution, infections, household chemicals, and age are known to be the ten most common causes of cancer.

There is no single cure for cancer yet; but extensive efforts of cancer research are being undertaken in various parts of the globe. Leading the pack is the FUDA CANCER HOSPITAL (FCH), located in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, China. The hospital has been designated by the Chinese government as one of the country’s National Key Clinical Cancer Specialty Centers since 2010.
Today, as it was before the global pandemic, Filipinos can now avail themselves of the services the FCH offers – with ease and convenience. The hospital has a dedicated team for Filipino patients complete with a translator to communicate with the doctors and medical staff. There is even a coordinator who handles all the requirements of the patient and family members during their whole stay in the hospital.
FUDA Cancer Hospital combines traditional and modern techniques in cancer treatment. Its signature procedures include Cryosurgery, Local Chemotherapy, and NanoKnife surgery.

NO OPEN SURGERY. FCH boasts its ablation technique called Cryosurgery, which destroys tumors by cycles of freezing and thawing the cells using an argon-helium system. This freezing process allows the temperature to fall below -40oC forming “ice crystals” within the cells. The advantage of combining this procedure with excision is that it minimizes the risk of spreading the cancerous cells during excision. It can be used as a sole treatment or combined with other conventional treatment methods. Cancer patients with malignant tumors are highly recommended for Cryosurgery.
ON TARGET. Chemotherapy kills cancer cells, but it can affect or damage healthy cells. Not with FUDA’s signature Local Chemotherapy or Interventional Chemotherapy. This procedure directly targets the cancer cells avoiding healthy cells and organs. Compared to the traditional chemotherapy, it has very little side effects, broad spectrum anti-tumor effects and an effective measure for the prevention of cancer recurrence.

QUICK AND PAINLESS. NanoKnife Surgery or Irreversible Electroporation (IRE) uses short, repetitive, non-thermal high-energy pulses of electricity to destroy cancer cells. The electrodes or needles, in common parlance, are inserted through the skin directly into and around the tumor causing short pulses of electricity. These electrical pulses destroy the tumor without damaging the surrounding tissues, veins and ducts. As a result, healthy cells and tissues can grow back and regenerate within the area. Patients who undergo NanoKnife need not to worry as it can be done quickly and painlessly lasting the procedure for only two to four hours. And what makes it even safer is the use of the process called “cardiac synchronization” during the NanoKnife treatment to prevent the electrical pulses from causing problems with a patient’s heartbeat.
Cryosurgery, Local Chemotherapy, and NanoKnife Surgery are some of the innovative cancer treatment procedures administered at the FUDA Cancer Hospital. All these are backed by advanced research and tested through clinical application.
With all the state of the art facilities and innovative medical procedures, FUDA Cancer Hospital lives up to its mission of providing the best cancer treatment in the world. No wonder, it has gained a great reputation for its excellent medical service quality around the world. To date, over 100,000 patients from around the world have been treated at the FCH.
