Selling what you believe in: Key to real estate success

In the highly competitive industry of real estate sales, the challenge lies in selling the vision of the developer to home seekers. What better way is there to do so than for a property seller to invest and live in the development itself?

Sonia Estopil, the executive sales director of independent mid-market property developer DataLand Inc. (DLI), believes such strategy is one of the keys to her success. She has not had difficulty selling the company’s projects because of her faith in them.

In fact, she is a proud homeowner and resident in DLI’s pioneer development, The Silk Residences condominium in Sta. Mesa, Manila. Her personal experience living in the community helps convince clients and prospective homebuyers of the trustworthiness of DLI in fulfilling its mission of providing quality beyond the basics.

This means creating homes for Filipino families that are more than just the usual being offered in the market, in terms of spaciousness, quality of construction, efficiency of property management and overall value for money. Sonia is a living testament to DLI’s enduring commitment to such promise.

“DataLand is also very supportive to us sellers in many ways especially in terms of training, financial rewards and other activities,” she says. At present, she handles four sales directors and their respective teams of property sellers.

In line with DLI’s landmark 10th anniversary this year, her dream is to constantly improve and push her limits as a real estate sales professional alongside the company’s continuous growth. “Since I am already exposed to different kinds of selling locally, I hope to be assigned in the future to be one of the sellers in the international market,” she shares.

More than any other measure of success, the stories of Sonia and other DLI clients, partners and employees are what solidify DLI’s stature and reputation as a formidable player in the local real estate market, with its ever-expanding portfolio of residential, commercial, hospitality and mixed-use developments that exceed expectations.
