Dragonpay supports World Vision’s Noche Buena campaign for 2nd straight year

World Vision, a global humanitarian organization devoted to alleviating poverty, launched its Noche Buena campaign in the Philippines in 2005. The noche buena, which is the traditional meal shared by families all throughout the country on the eve of Christ’s birth, is an integral part of the Filipino Christmas celebration.
World Vision’s campaign aims to give families a reason to celebrate together and create memories on Christmas eve that children will remember.
For the second straight year, Dragonpay has given its support to World Vision to make this campaign possible. Despite the pandemic, Dragonpay ensures that these children will have a proper noche buena on Christmas Eve.
This year, the Noche Buena campaign aims to target 24,337 World Vision registered families in Philippine-funded area programs.
“We all know that many families face heavy financial burdens due to the pandemic, making it challenging to celebrate Christmas. Dragonpay has been supporting World Vision’s Noche Buena campaign hoping that there would be fewer families who will not see the hope this season brings,” says Robertson Chiang, Founder, and CEO of Dragonpay.
This campaign hopes to bring joy to more than 33,000 Filipino homes every Christmas with gift packs containing canned goods, juice, and noche buena staples like spaghetti and fruit salad.
For every donation of P1,000, two children and their families will feel the true meaning of Christmas. More than the meal, these children will experience the love of Jesus through people’s generosity.
