Christmas day is upon us. And while some are still busy shopping for presents, it is sometimes the simplest of gifts, even an act of kindness that prove to be the best way to show someone your love.
Through a special Christmas campaign, Personal Collection Direct Selling, Inc. (PCDSI) and influencer Keith Talens scoured the streets, to make the busy workers of Parañaque City smile.
In a vlog, posted on Youtube, Keith and his Yaya Betty approach unknowing street sweepers, vendors, and commuters, surprising them with handwritten notes.
Each note would have a funny or heartwarming message that Keith would ask them to read out loud. Messages like, “cute mo, smile” and “maganda ka, smile ka”, caught people off guard, but instantly made them smile and laugh.
“Nagulat ako noong una, akala ko joke lang. Pero nakakataba ng puso na makabasa ng messages tulad nito. Hindi ka naman kasi araw-araw masasabihan na maganda ka kaya ngumiti ka, kaya nakakatuwa talaga”, a street sweeper said.
PCDSI’s “Make Today Great” campaign is a way for the direct-selling company to show that simple acts of love can go a long way. That small kind gestures of the mundane, like making someone smile, is as special as the grandest of gifts.
“We sometimes forget that it’s important to share our blessings with other people, that giving feels more rewarding than receiving. Whether it’s Christmas or an ordinary day, we should be kind to one another, and hope that the kindness we show will be paid forward”, PCDSI said.
Part of the campaign was also to boost the confidence of the public through stronger teeth and fresher breath. As a special bonus, Alert toothpaste and toothbrush products were distributed.
