In the Philippines, the group was established in 2007 with about over 50 members. It inducted its 2019 officers at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel last June 29, with Mega Global Corporation President and CEO William Tiu Lim as its new President.

Mega Global Corporation is the leading manufacturer and distributor of canned goods. It is the company behind Mega Sardines, the Number 1 Sardines Brand in the Philippines, and other high-quality, value-for-money products namely, Mega Creations Premium Sardines, Mega Tuna, and Mega Prime Canned Vegetables.

With the scope of his business and its continued expansion, Tiu Lim says that the program has empowered him better as an industry leader. “The Harvard Business School program for OPM, which I took back in 2015, has enabled me to strategize better for my company, expanding and learning how to sustain the business over time, even with concepts such as succession planning. It opened my mind to be global and apply different strategies in global or business to business perspectives,” Tiu Lim explains.

Tiu Lim has been a Harvard OPM Philippines member since 2017, and he says that it has helped him to continue learning even after graduating from the Harvard program. “Among the notable activities and programs that I have joined in the organization are the case study sessions, where we have round table open discussions on timely and relevant situations. Here, in programs that we take turns to host, we all learn from each other. The added value is that we network and benefit from all the ideas that are put forth, where each member brings in their own expertise. These equip me with new strategies for advancement.”

Networking is another aspect that he enjoys from his membership to the Harvard OPM group. Activities and events are a time for all the Owners and Presidents from major enterprises to gather together and meet as fellows who live and do business at their highest levels.

As he takes over from former president Pinky Tobiano of Qualibet Testing Laboratories, Tiu Lim and his board of officers composed of OPM Vice President Danny Ibasco of Fortman Cline Capital Markets, Jen Uy of Waltermart Supermarket Inc. as Secretary, Raj Uttamchandani of Esquire Financing as Treasurer with Juancho Robles of ChanRobles & Company as Auditor, and Carol

Dominguez of John Clements Consultants, Inc. as Press Relations, promise to strengthen those networking abilities between members and even grow them as they invite new and active alumni members to join in.
