The Muntinlupa Volleyball Club stamped its class in the Philippine Volleyball Federation-Tanduay Athletics’ U18 Beach Volleyball Championships by winning both the boys’ and girls’ division titles for the third consecutive time at the indoor/outdoor sand-courts of the Tanduay Athletics Volleyball Center in Taguig on Sunday.
Twenty-nine, two-player teams (15 in boys and 14 in girls) competed in the one-day league.
The teams represented private and public schools and volleyball clubs from as far as Lopez, Quezon, Pangasinan, Pampanga, Bataan, Cavite, Laguna, Bulacan and Metro-Manila.
Out of town teams were billeted at the comfortable lodging facilities of the center since Saturday.
There are no entry fees in all PVF and Cantada family-hosted events. Sumptuous food and drinks flowed freely for all participants, officials, chaperones and guests.
The swimming pool beside the sand-courts was also made available to the participants.
“At the end of the day and as always, the young players went home with fond memories of an experience only the PVF and the Cantada family are capable of giving,” said PVF president Edgardo ‘Tito Boy’ Cantada.
