Geje believes his best still to come

Despite being one of the division’s headliners for the longest time, former ONE Flyweight World Champion Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio believes he has yet to reach his peak in ONE Championship.

Geje Eustaquio: I haven’t reached my full potential yet

Coming off a sensational walk-off spinning back kick win over Toni “Dynamite” Tauru last November, the 31-year-old is gearing up for another run to the top as ONE Championship resumes normal operations.

“Flyweight is one of the most stacked divisions in ONE Championship,” Eustaquio said.

“All I can say is that I haven’t reached my full potential as an athlete. I welcome the challenge no matter how hard it is.”

Considering that ONE Flyweight World Champion Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes will defend his strap against ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix winner Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson sometime in the future, “hard” is an understatement.

Either of those two men can drag Eustaquio into deep waters. Then there are the contenders.

Fifth-ranked flyweight Reece “Lightning” McLaren will take on Aleksi “The Giant” Toivonen  at ONE: REIGN OF DYNASTIES on 9 October, and the result will certainly have major implications for the division.

Eustaquio’s teammate and second-ranked flyweight Danny “The King” Kingad is also in the flyweight mix, while old foes Kairat “The Kazakh” Akhmetov and Yuya “Little Piranha” Wakamatsu aren’t far behind.

Though no date for Eustaquio’s return to the ONE Circle has been scheduled, the charismatic slugger from Baguio City promises that the best has yet to come for him.

“Fans around the world can expect me to be better and better until I can say that I am finally in my prime,” Eustaquio said.
