ONE debutant Fabrício “Wonder Boy” Andrade stunned martial arts fans after defeating Mark “Tyson” Fairtex Abelardo at ONE: NO SURRENDER on Friday, 31 July, in Bangkok, Thailand.

Andrade scored a second-round rear-naked choke win over Abelardo to make a huge splash in The Home Of Martial Arts.

From the onset, Andrade’s reach was noticeable, and the Brazilian made sure he used it against the stocky Filipino-Kiwi.

Abelardo tried to press forward as promised, but “Wonder Boy” kept “Tyson” at bay with his jab and countered effectively with his right hand.

In the second round, Andrade frustrated Abelardo once more by sticking jabs in his face, forcing the 28-year-old to desperately shoot for takedowns. This led to an opening for “Wonder Boy” to counter and take his back and later apply a rear-naked choke.

“Tyson” courageously held on but ultimately faded, giving Andrade the big win.

In the main event, Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon put on a masterclass as he retained the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Title against Petchdam “The Baby Shark” Petchyindee Academy.

The 23-year-old Jitmuangnon Gym star promised to bring the heat and he more than lived up to it as he peppered “The Baby Shark” with solid punches and thunderous kicks en route to a majority decision win.

Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy likewise put on an amazing performance after outpointing “The Boxing Computer” Yodsanklai IWE Fairtex to retain the ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Title in a five-round war.

The 26-year-old Petchyindee Academy star weathered an early storm and effectively broke Yodsanklai down with slick counterpunching, leading to a majority decision win.

In other match-ups, Stamp Fairtex was as good as advertised after beating Sunisa “Thunderstorm” Srisen by TKO in the first round.

Kickboxing superstar Superbon also had an amazing debut, effectively winning his trilogy over “The Killer Kid” Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in their ONE Super Series featherweight kickboxing clash.
