CCJ/Edris bested 248 entries to become a solo winner of the 1st 7 Cock/Stag Open Series Super Circuit Derby in Talisay, Negros Occidental.
Isunga and Managuit brothers, owners of CCJ/Edris, pocketed the grand prize of P1,300,000 after their entry scored a perfect 7-0 in the Super Circuit Derby 1st leg that offers a total guaranteed prize of P28 million for the entire 6-leg series.
Runners-up with scores of 6-1 are Himakas N-7 Dec. 29 of Engr. Ronald Roquero, Super ALE-GJV of Raul Villanueva, Bull Frog of Christopher Padpad and Adrian Palma, Lucky 77 of Jomarie Jonas, Balawis/BCC 2 of Atty. Gildu R. Agoncillo and Reggie Florintino, Sta. Agueda 2 of Felix Trebol, Apo B Warriors of Art Olegion, RJB Sailors/Cano of Edil Sansing/Rodolfo Belbes Jr., Cabakahan of Levi Camus and Al Garcia, Unli Pops Boys of Actor and James Malibong, Happy B-Day Boy of Elmer Esclabanan and Junjun Pellejo, DUM Square Warriors of Joel Dumdum and Ninja Moves of Ramon Llacer and John Blue.
The entry with the highest point after the 6-leg series conducted by Sabong International in cooperation with Metro Third Breeders Association and NTC Group will receive a whopping top prize of P 5,000,000 with the runner-up taking P 1 million.
Also, the entry with the most champion in the series pockets P 3 million, while the highest pointer’s handler and gaffer get P 700,000 and P 300,000, respectively.
The rest of the five legs of the series will be held in August until December.
